Dental Terror: Help!?

My teeth grew in crooked. My mother didn’t really take me to a dentist until a dentist located in the mall who ended up loosing their license for malpractice! They performed 5 root canals (all botched) in 3 hours and never placed a single crown on. Did fillings that fell out, you name it. It’s years later, they haven’t been fixed (I’m in college and don’t have insurance). I’m tired of this. They’re cracked and crooked and brittle. What are my options? I hate to smile and always have, at this point I’m willing to make payment plans and it may be too late for braces. What about tooth replacement or private insurance? Any suggestions? I’m located in Ohio.

Wow, you really have a problem. I can guarantee you that you have cavitations under those root canals. That is infection of the bone and these infections can cause you major problems with your health. Any amalgam fillings that exist in your mouth with those crowns (if metal) will cause the mercury in the amalgams to leave 80 times faster due to dielectric condition. ALL amalgam fillings have infection under them. You need to get those out of your mouth by a qualified biological dentist.
The teeth are one of the primary areas of the body where infections can cause major problems with many of your organs. You must get these fixed by a qualified dentist. Those guys located on the street corners or in malls are usually not the right ones to see if you are concerned about your health. Many diseases and problems with the body have been caused by dentists. You need to figure out a way to get enough money to get this done properly. I truly feel for you.
    good luck

    Hello –
If dental costs are a problem, but you can afford $39.95 to begin (and only $19.95 per month after that), you can get started IMMEDIATELY with a dental discount card that will save you as much as 80% on services from participating dentists in your area. You don’t have to wait for the card to come to you in the mail. I can help you find a dentist – or I can find out if your dentist already participates – and get a member number issued for you over the telephone all in one phone call. I can also let you know EXACTLY what the fees are for specific procedures. There’s even a 100% money back guarantee. Let me know how to reach you if you’re interested. No pressure – just another option to keep in mind. Hope everything works out for you!

You should go see a dentist first, and ask for options or go to a cosmetic dentist, i am sure then may be able to help you.
I feel sorry for you, good luck hunny!

Search for dental schools in Ohio, one may be located near you. They do work that is greatly discounted but it does take longer to do because they are learning.

you need to see a Dentist for a consultation and they will be able to give you an idea of what everything will cost and if you do have a large treatmetn plan I am sure will be very willing to help get things going so that you are not in any pain or have any infection and they will help figure out a payment plan. Oh and as for the person who stated that if you have amalgam (silver) fillings in your mouth they are all infected, That is not true and amalgam fillings are very safe.

Hi there, I totally feel your pain. I am college student who also has dental problems and no insurance.
I’m just going to reply about private insurance…i have researched this and it pretty much doesn’t exist. Dental insurance is usually through an employer because private insurance would pose too much risk to the insurance provider.
Instead, they offer ‘discount plans.’ try dentalplans.com. the problem is, they suck! i researched a few and called local dentists and the plans only save you a few dollars here and there (example…on a root canal you save 100 dollars but it costs over 100 dollars to get the plan…so you still pay 1000 bucks!). But, if you can find a good one and a good dentist you should be okay.
my advice is to see a dental school or a dentist that will make payment plans.
sorry to hear about your bad experiences! good luck.
