My husband and I have 1-7. We get health, dental, vision, and disability through his work and the rest we cover on our own.
You can also get renter’s insurance, flood insurance is also additional to your home owner’s I believe.
Credit insurance… if you are referring to the insurance you can pay monthly to protect your credit cards, it is a scam. There were several articles published and I think one by the federal government, stating this. I’d look it up online, and get some more informatin.
What are the different TOOLS that a person should have?
Obviously, if they don’t own a car, they don’t need auto insurance. There may be no need for malpractice. I’ve never seen a vision or dental policy that pays out more than it costs.
Insurance is a TOOL. To select the tool you need, you have to carefully define the job you want it to get done.
There’s a term for people that buy all different kinds of insurance, just for the sake of owning insurance: Insurance Poor.
Insurance is a very wide field and the list can be endless. Secondly each person has to decide for himself/herself what their own goals and needs are and take insurance based on them.
Credit insurance if taken on the personal lines would mean the credit-card loss coverage. Credit on the commercial lines would be very wide in scope – covering even bonds and surety.
